Teddy is an absolutely adorable middle-age boy who has lived a difficult, lonely life. He joined BAARK Dog Rescue in March, having been found as a stray in Oklahoma. Because he’s a bit older, mostly black, and a bigger dog, the likelihood of getting out of the Oklahoma shelter alive was slim. We could not let this poor dog die with no one, no one to love him, or care for him, or ever share a kind word with him.

Teddy has been shy and a bit slow to warm up, tending to keep to himself rather than engage with the other dogs in his foster home. We feel he needs to build his confidence as well as learn to trust humans…so of course we are working hard to find a family who will give him reason to trust them and learn that he is worthy of being loved and receiving the care and attention he so deserves.

Teddy is thought to possibly be a Rottweiler Mix estimated to be 6 - 7 years old, weighing about 48 lbs. He is in overall good health and other than being shy and cautious, he is fine with other dogs. He would do best in an adult home or a home with older children; younger children might scare him.

Teddy is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round preventative.
