Meet Dominic
Dominic is a beautiful tuxedo kitty, about 7-8 years old with soulful green eyes. He has had a tough time of it. He was in foster when he first arrived, but was found to be terrified of dogs,so we think he would do best in a home without them or in a home with a quiet older dog. . He is super sweet to humans and other cats.Dominic is looking for a special human to follow around and give love to. He loves soft comfortable beds in front of windows where he can while away the hours looking at birds. He loves toys, especially fuzzy little mice. He loves to use his voice and will meow long and loud when it’s time for a snuggle!
Dominic is one of a kind. He spent his first years as a street fighter, and the scars show on his face. But now all he wants is a family to love him and keep him safe. Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has been successfully submitted. If you don’t receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
Our shelter is closed to the general public. However, for approved adopters we are making appointments to meet and adopt your fur baby.
