Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Owen is a 5-month-old Treeing Walker Coonhound/Beagle mix weighing 20lbs. We guess he won’t be bigger than 50lbs full grown.
His life before rescue was not kind as his little body was deprived of food and water, to the point of being skeletal. Now, Owen is one happy and healthy pup!
Owen MUST GO TO A HOME WITH ANOTHER DOG. No seniors. He needs a young dog who loves to play as much as he does. Owen would chase a cat, like all puppies would, but we do not think he would hurt one.
While Owen is sweet and affectionate, it is definitely on his terms, like most hounds. He will come up to you tail wagging for a couple of pets and kisses, and then he’s off to play with the other dogs some more.
He is not a cuddly lap dog, but makes a great walking or hiking buddy for an active and adventurous family. Owen loves to go on walks and walks well on a leash. Owen is crate trained and working on being housebroken.
*Physical fence preferred. No electric fences*
