Scruffy is a senior gentleman looking for his retirement home. His foster describes him as a “really great dog and easy to have.” His favorite thing is to carry things around- a toy or really anything. He never chews anything just carries them around and is so proud of himself. If he leaves one of his toys outside you can tell him to go get it and he will run and get it. He had a few accidents the first day or so in the home, but then has been great. He loves to just nap and hang around, so he is a perfect low key dog for someone. His foster also says he is great on leash, so some walks would be on his list also! The first few days he was in his new home (after being in the shelter and having a long journey from Alabama) he grumbled at his dog sibling a few times but they have now figured each other out and do great. He would probably best be paired with another lower key dog or at least one that isn’t in his face wanting to play constantly. He tested fine with shelter kitties. He is heartworm positive but he is on the road to treatment for that and this is included in his adoption fee. Requirements: Home with yard space.
Adoption Fee: $400 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing if appropriate, deworming, microchip, and current preventatives
