Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Pepe (as in Pepe Le Pew). When I arrived at Herding Haven rescue as a tiny 8 week old 4 lb puppy I looked like a baby skunk-- I was malnourished and suffering from a condition known as rickets (a vitamin D deficiency). Luckily my foster mom is a dietitian and knows all about treating nutrient deficiencies. After several weeks of a nutritious diet and a few key supplements I grew strong and am almost as good as new. I am still missing some front teeth; but, that just adds to my adorable character. And I am quite a character. I keep my foster family laughing. I am an active, playful, little dude. I would love a home that will take me on lots of outdoor adventures. I am good with other dogs that don't mind my playful antics and try to play with the cats in my foster home. I am a little nervous with small/young children, so a home without toddlers would be best. Kids over the age of 6 yr would be fine. I already know how to "sit", "lay" (down), "shake" and "wave". I am crate-trained, house-broken and walk like a champ on a leash. I am up-to-date on my vaccinations and will come with a neuter voucher. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org
