UPDATED BIO 12/22/09: Betzee is a beautiful 3 y/o miniature poodle who weighs a healthy 16#. She is being fostered in The Villages, FL. Betzee was a surrogate mom to to 3 little orphaned puppies at the shelter - two of them have found their forever homes and then third one, Amahle, will be going home for Christmas ~ yeah! Betzee is totally housetrained and very, very playful; she is learning proper doggie manners as it appears no one ever took the time to teach her - Betzee loves sitting in Foster Mom's lap and getting backrubs. Betzee hasn't had a happy start in life, but she so deserves a loving and forever home where she will be treated like the Pretty Pretty Poodle Princess she is. Please give Betzee a chance at a happy life -she was so willing to be a surrogate mom to 3 little orphaned puppies; and now it's time that someone took a chance on sweet Betzee; please Santy Clause - find Betzee a home for Christmas!

BIO 10/27/09: Betzee is a gorgeous 3 year old poodle, who now weighs a much healthier 16.25# - this is a good weight for her as she begins a new chapter of her life. Foster Mom thinks that Betzee has never been a loving companion to her previous owners - she was severely matted and had tons of fleas when she was rescued. Betzee now has a second chance at a happy life! She is one of UYR's yorkie wannabe's....but she's a gorgeous one! Betzee has been such a wonderful mommy to her 3 little female puppies, but now that they are 5 weeks old, Betzee has begun spending less time nursing them and more time with her Foster Mom & Dad. Foster Mom uses this time to feed the puppies separately and they are doing well eating and drinking out of a bowl. Betzee is a very sweet and loving little poodle girlie and will make a wonderful companion to her forever family. Betzee is completely housetrained and is doing well on her leash-training. In about 6-8 weeks. Betzee will be spayed and will be ready to go to her forever home ~~ yeah!

UPDATED BIO 10/15/09: Betzee is a gorgeous 3 year old poodle, who now weighs a much healthier 14.71#. She's one of UYR's yorkie wannabe's....but she's a gorgeous one. Betzee and her 3 female puppies, Amahle, Jabulie & Sizani, were rescued in the nick of time, as they were scheduled to be euthanized. Betzee is a wonderful and protective mom; she is very sweet and loving and will make a wonderful doggie companion to her forever family. She is housetrained and we are working on the leash-training, and she is doing really well. Betzee has proven that she has a strong spirit, and the lucky family who adopts her will indeed be blessed.

UPDATED BIO 10/4/2009: Betzee is a gorgeous 3 year old 14 lb POODLE!!! At first we thought she might be a Cockapoo, but after some love, good food, and a wonderful grooming, it is apparent that under all those mats that were present, sweet Betzee is a miniature poodle. She was rescued the same day she was scheduled to be euthanized along with her 3 adorable puppies. Poor Betzee was found as a stray and brought to a high kill shelter. Can you imagine roaming the streets homeless and pregnant, just before you were about to deliver!? The very next day, poor Betzee gave birth in a cold steel cage. We're not even sure if the shelter knew she was pregnant at that time, and three of her girlies survived.

Yes, we are a Yorkie rescue group, but sometimes a little girl or boy really tugs at our heartstrings. In this case, we just couldn't let poor Betzee be PTS; not after all she had endured. Betzee is also a wonderful momma. She takes watchful care over her babies and feeds them quite often. In fact, Betzee eats several times a day just to keep up with her sweet growing pack. They each weigh just over 1 pound right now. Though Betzee may not be a Yorkie, we consider her a "Yorkie Wannabee." Perhaps you can find it in your heart to share your home with Betzee - a survivor and a fabulous momma.

INITIAL BIO: MEET BETZEE! She is a beautiful Cockapoo who was rescued at the 11th hour, along with her 3 adorable puppies. She is 3 y/o and is a very thin 14# - she would be a healthier weight if she was able to gain 2-3#. Betzee and her puppies are being fostered in The Villages, FL. Betzee was picked up as a stray; her coat is matted to the skin, all over her thin body - her entire body will need to be shaved. Her nails were very long and her ears were filfthy. Little Betzee has been neglected for a very long time. The day after she arrived at the shelter, she gave birth to puppies; we don't know the exact number of puppies she may have delivered, but there are three (3) precious little survivors, all little girlies. Betzee is an excellent mom and is taking such great care of her puppies. She is a very loving little girlie who loves to be held and gives kisses. Betzee will not be available for adoption until the puppies are approximately 3 months old, and she will be spayed before adoption. Please consider giving this sweet little girl a loving and forever home - even though she is a Cockapoo, we still consider her a 'yorkie wannabe'.

NOTE: When Betzee's puppies are 3 months old, we will begin looking for loving homes for them as well; right now, we don't know what 'combination of breeds' they are, but they will be precious no matter what they turn out to be! They are all black, with a tad of brindle in two of them, and one of them has 4 white sox! Maybe they are Cocka-Labra-Doodle-Doo's!
