Poor Missy lost her home to the failing health of her human and was surrendered to Fuzzy Pawz and is in foster care.
Missy comes off as the ultimate Cool Cat. When she sees you enter the room, she always gives a slight chin lift as if she’s saying, “Hey, how ya doin”?” Any attention from talking to her to a head scratch is rewarded with a tail lift and a purr. She has some hearing loss, because she can sleep through a lot of noise, but by some miracle, she always seems to hear when a can of cat food opens! Missy has short little legs and a ¾ tail which makes for a sassy little walk and adds to her cuteness. She is a fairly small cat and has slimmed down since coming into foster care. She has an amazing mastery of the daily schedule and really only meows when meals are not served on time or if she gets trapped behind a door somewhere in the house.
Missy likes children and has never scratched, but she does like her space respected and is very independent. She tends to put other pets in their place, but has settled in well with the two housecats that live in the foster home. If the house gets too busy, she will find a quiet out-of-the-way spot to wait it out. Often Missy is so quiet that we forget she is here. She is perfect for someone who wants companionship without having a needy pet. Her favorite hangouts are sunny spaces and the back of the couch. She likes to be near people, but doesn’t feel the need to be on a lap.
Missy needs a scratching post and LOVES catnip, so is easy to train to the appropriate location. She takes no medications. She is the easiest cat I have every had to trim nails and loves to be brushed. Ideally, she would be best as a single pet in a chill household, but is adaptive in other placements.
