My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. If you need more info or would like to adopt please contact Linda directly: lsadows@outlook.com. Thank you!

DOB May 27, 2014, living in Kitchener, Ontario.

Maggie is a sweetheart. She loves to be petted, receive face and ear massages and be stroked gently
under her chin. Maggie loves to stretch out beside you on the couch for long periods of time for a good
petting session. Maggie has a mind of her own and when she feels she has been petted enough she will
either jump off the couch or turn around. Afternoon naps are taken laying on a soft blanket on the
couch or curled up in a cat tree.

Maggie has learned to play for the first time in her life and she has realized that playing is a lot of fun.
She loves to interact with a wand toy, chase a laser light while running through her cat tunnel or she can
keep herself occupied by rolling around with a catnip toy or any random toy. Maggie uses a scratch post
and likes to wrap herself around it while playing. She is also very good with the litter box. If Maggie is
not playing you will find her sitting in the window watching the birds and squirrels.

Maggie was born outdoors in a cat colony where she has lived her entire life while being fed and
supplied with shelter by her colony caretaker. For the past few years she has allowed her caretaker to
pet her and finally she was brought indoors where she is now safe, warm and loved. Maggie adjusted to
an indoor life immediately and makes no attempt at all to want to go back outdoors. It was as though
she had been an indoor cat all her life. She seems extremely grateful to have been rescued.

Maggie is quite shy at first in new surroundings and with new people therefore she’s best suited to a
quiet calm environment with a single person or a quiet couple. Maggie is much too nervous to be a good
fit in a busy household. She will have a tendency to hide at first and her adopter must be able to sit on
the floor wherever she is hiding in order to pet her as petting is the only way to make her feel safe and
eventually comfortable. As an only pet Maggie would get all the love and attention for herself that she
truly craves. It would be best if her adopter has had previous experience with shy cats and has the time
and patience it will take for her to become comfortable and allow her true personality to shine.
Maggie has never had a home of her own. Please open your heart and your home and give this very
sweet girl a loving home where she can spend the rest of her life.
