My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bodie is such a handsome, sweet boy who through no fault of his own made his way to us in search of a new family.

Bodie is a dog who just wants to be around people all the time. In fact he loves people so much he doesn't want to share his new family with any other dogs or cats. He loves just hanging out, getting affection, and being told how handsome he is. He gives great kisses and when hes really excited to see you he may even bring you a toy as a gift. He will need some work when it comes to pulling when on leash, and door darting and his new family will have to be very careful and diligent to make sure he is kept safe. He does have some training though and is overall a really good boy.

As is common with hound dogs Bodie can be loud when he gets his houndy bay going but overall he has been a calm, relaxed guy. Like most beagles or basset hounds his future family will have to help him watch his waistline and make sure to keep his weight in check. He is also on an allergy medication to keep some skin itchiness in control.

Bodie is around 5.5 years old as of 09/02/21

Visual breed identification in dogs in unreliable, for most of our dogs we are making the best guess at what the predominant breed or breed mix might be. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality and temperament, not breed label.
