Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sadie May, a lively 1 year old, 10 pound Yorkie girl being fostered near Des Moines, IA. Due to COVID issues, only adopters within a 100 mile radius will be considered.
Update Bio 3/31/21: Sadie Mae was recently returned to UYR at no fault of her own. She simply was not a good fit with the current resident dog due to her abundance of puppy energy.
Additionally, it was confirmed Sadie has bilateral luxating patellas. These don't seem to slow her down one bit and should be manageable with a good diet/nutrition plan and weight management. Surgery could be needed down the road if her weight is not managed properly and level of activity.
Sadie May would do best in a home where owners are present most of the time. Ideally this would be an active retired couple or a stay at home/work from home owner. She does well with well behaved children 10 years of age and older. Additionally dogs within the same age range and 25 lbs or less would make great companions.
Sadie requires a securely fenced yard as she loves to run and explore, no exceptions.
Initial Bio 1/16/21: Sadie Mae is a 10 month old, super energetic Yorkie puppy. She requires a home with a fenced in yard; wireless fences will not be permitted. She's a larger Yorkie 10 lbs.
Sadie loves to play with well behaved children and dogs. She would do best in a residential home with room to run and play with another younger dog. A family with a stay at home Mom, and children 10 and older would be best. She loves to cuddle and sleep with her family in bed. Sadie also enjoys playing with toys and going on walks.
Her new family must willing to continue working with Sadie on potty training and basic obedience.
