My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mimi is a 3-4 year old, 20 pound, dachshund mix dog that came to rescue with a litter of eight (!) puppies who have left the nest, leaving her footloose, fancy free, and ready to live her best life. Mimi is potty trained with the doggie door and great with her dog friends. She is a little sneak and will go under a fence if it is not secured because she is used to being able to ramble around the neighborhood. Mimi is sweet, a little bit shy with new people but quickly won over and very affectionate, and she is going to make the perfect little friend for her adopter.

This dog is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 12pm-2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
