Fiona is full of puppy curiosity and exuberance. Her first birthday is June 8th, she is a Pit Bull mix reaching her full grown size, weighing in around 50 pounds.
Fiona loves to exercise her mind and her body. We have watched her leap baby gates, and also land herself on top of the front desk in one effortless hop. Fiona appears to have a natural ability for agility. Fiona will leap up onto the cement rolls, that were preexisting in the Home Fur Good yards, with just an offer of a hotdog bite. Volunteers have taken an interest in Fiona and have worked with her. They have exercised her mind by teaching her place, sit, stay and come, just think about how much more she can learn. Home Fur Good will test new dogs and their tolerance of other canines. Fiona has become a Rockstar at being in these test groups. She enjoys making new furry friends and she has shown that if introduced to an older dog or another rambunctious puppy, she can adjust her playstyle to meet that of her new friend. Fiona is a proud member of the Sunday Dog Walking Club, she is still working on leash manners, but she is just so excited to go out on an adventure.
Fiona would love a family that won’t leave her alone for long periods of time, a family that will continue her training and up her skill level and mostly a family that will include her in all activities. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment only.
