Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mac!-Thornton NH
Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie
Age: approximately 1 ½ years old
Color(s): White, Gray, Black
General Info: Neutered Male, UTD on vaccinations, missing one eye, house trained, crate trained, basic commands (off, sit, down)
Mac Needs: Daily walks, lots of cuddles, training time (because he loves treats!), more cuddles.
Mac Wants: Play time with other dogs (he lives with 3 dogs now – one is a 3 month old puppy, one is Mac’s age, and the last one is a senior at 11 yrs old), kids who are a little older and who are dog savvy.
Other Things I Like: “Kids (the kids in my foster home are 4 and 5 years old), being outside, eating.”
Things I Don’t Like: “Dominant dogs (I have had fearful reactions with dominant dogs in the past), car rides (I get car sick, but my foster mom is trying to help me with that by taking short rides to get used to it).”
Mac’s Personality: “I am a people-pleaser, so I always check in with my humans (Am I playing nicely with the other dogs? Why are you in the bathroom without me? Etc.) My foster mom says I’m “wicked smart” because I learned how to be around the other dogs and young kids really quickly, and I’m learning all these “commands” so fast (what can I say, the treats are yummy!) I do have energy to burn (I’m still a puppy), so I really like the walks we take every day! I’ve learned how to share my toys and I’m doing so much better when my foster mom is handing out treats to everyone.”
Other: Mac walks nicely on leash with his Martingale collar or harness (we will send him to his new family with both). Mac uses a “calming collar” (originally put on to help him with car rides) – it’s called the ThunderEase calming collar and lasts up to 8 weeks. We have one left that will go with Mac (and can be swapped out in May). Mac is not cat tested, but does not have an overly strong prey drive. Mac does not herd our children, but he is a herding breed and should be monitored for those behaviors.
Mac is loving, goofy, and fun to be around. He has an "excited dance" and will gently climb up you and hug you around the middle. He does have some nervous energy if he doesn't get enough exercise - he would love to walk with you, or jog/run/hike, regularly. He's also a very handsome boy 😍
