My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST: Meet Logan. He is a 3.5 year old Australian Cattle, Border Collie mix looking for love. He weighs 62 pounds. He’s been an outdoor dog most of his life, but after two weeks, has easily converted to being indoors and has become a pro at using the bathroom outside. He loves people, loves to give hugs, and loves to be cuddled and kissed. He spent time in a home with five children, two of whom were under 4 years old, so he knows how to be gentle with the little ones. His home also had a cat. He may not be best friends with a cat, but we think he knows his place. Logan loves playing with his big sister, so he should do well with other dogs.

Logan knows SIT, has been working on LAY, and we’ve just started working on STAY - and he’s up to 15 seconds! He’s a quick study! Logan’s cutest quirk is that he likes to fall asleep with a blanket in his mouth, preferably one that smells like his human.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
