“Go away! Shoo! Get outta here!”
This is all that most strays hear the majority of their lives - people telling them to get off of their property when all the cats want is to find some food and a safe place to sleep. This is exactly what poor ol’ Murphy went through before coming to us!
Murphy was found as a stray by animal control, wandering through a quiet neighborhood. He never bothered anyone or caused a fuss, but the people that lived in the area thought Murphy was a pest and ordered that he be removed. We fell in love with those chubby cheeks of his and quickly realized that his big guy has a heart of gold and deserved a second chance.
Ever since then, Murphy has been living in a loving foster home. He’s still trying to adjust to house-cat life and starting to realize that he doesn’t have to fight for survival anymore.
Murphy is a big softy and loves getting attention from his foster parents. He can be a bit mouthy when he wants something and startles somewhat easily, so we’re recommending that he doesn’t go to a home with small children. He gets along with the resident cats very well and even tolerates the big dogs as long as they aren’t too hyper around him.
Murphy had a previous issue with urinary crystals, so he is on a prescription diet (for life) to prevent it from happening again.
Murphy is on a prescription diet which must be maintained throughout his life.
This big guy is very mellow. His favorite thing to do is lay in his bed and take naps while his foster parents listen to music and work on the computer. He does like to play, but it takes a bit of effort to motivate him to do so. After all that he’s been through, Murphy deserves all the naps and soft beds in the world!
