Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SIPSEY is ready for her forever family!!! Sipsey is a 2 year old velcro Australian Shepherd that is extremely affectionate and loves to be with her people. Sipsey does well on car rides and loads up easily with the “load up” command. She will sleep quietly in her kennel at night or is very happy to cuddle in the bed. Sipsey has not had any accidents in the foster’s home and appears to be house trained. She has excellent leash manners and knows “sit” and “down”. Sipsey has shown no signs of food/toy/treat aggression towards humans or other animals.
Sipsey does take some time to warm up to new people but once she trusts you, she will be your best friend. In her foster home, it took about 48 hours to gain Sipsey’s trust and affection. Sipsey warms up to women much quicker than she does men. She has done great with children of various ages, does great with dogs from 5lb to 125lb and has not shown any interest in cats.
Sipsey has exhibited some signs of separation anxiety but this has improved in her foster home overtime. Somebody that is willing to be patient with Sipsey’s initial distrust and nervousness would be ideal.
Sipsey is spayed, Heartworm negative, vaccinated and microchipped. She is being fostered in Birmingham, Al
