Meet Sesame! Born in 2014, she’s the biggest sweetheart. She might be shy at first, but with a little patience and love, she’ll make herself right at home and you’ll get to see how playful and affectionate she is. She loves watching birds outside (and meowing at them), sitting on her cardboard scratching posts, ear scratches and belly rubs, and playing with her catnip toys. She will thrive as the only pet in a quiet home, and she must remain on prescription food to guard against urinary tract infections (she hasn’t had any for years since switching to the prescription food).

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in-person in its foster home. We do not do same-day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
