Meet Bamboo! Born in 2014, she’s the sweetest cat. She’ll greet you at the door and fall asleep next to you on the sofa. She’s a wonderful work-from-home companion, and her antics are always entertaining. This special girl is talkative and so affectionate, and she loves belly rubs and ear scratches and purrs so loudly. She’ll thrive as the only pet in a quiet home, including one with older children, and she must remain on prescription food to guard against urinary tract infections (she hasn’t had any for years since switching to the prescription food).

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in-person in its foster home. We do not do same-day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
