My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW!

Breed: Chihuahua Mix
Age: puppy born Nov 11, 2020
Weight: 5 Lbs
Good With Dogs: yes
Good With Cats: Unknown
Good With Kids: no small kids due to his size
Energy Level: puppy energy
Special Needs: Experienced dog parent, another younger dog ideal

Max is a very active young puppy who is ready to find his forever home! His forever home should have a younger dog that he can bond with as he will be separating from one of his litter mates who he has been fostering with. Ideally, he would be adopted with his litter mate Daisy who is currently available for adoption as well.

He is expected to remain small and therefore will not be placed in a home with small children.

Being very active and currently teething, he would not be a good fit for a home with a senior dog.

He came to our rescue with separation anxiety which is improving but he does not like to be alone, which is why it’s important to have a companion dog in the home. He will not do well in an apartment.

He is working on potty training with potty pads and will need an adopter to continue working with him.

Due to his size and age, he is too young to spay so the adopter will be required to provide proof of spay once he is old enough.

Requirements:
> Another small dog in the home
> Experienced adopter

Our adoption fees are on our application.

All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped.

We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs.

We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.
