My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

• fenced in yard
• no young children, older ones ok
• loves walks

Greetings to everyone out there! My name is ROCKET and unlike a certain feisty raccoon, I'm all sweetness and no sass. Actually I'll say it, I'm a rather shy girl especially when I first get to know you.

I get along great with other dogs and would love another one in my home to look up to, but it’s not a must. I'd prefer a house with a fenced in yard (no condos please) and no young children as I'm wary of them. Older ones should be fine. I also want a family who won't leave me alone for long periods of time please! My foster family has taken me for walks with other neighbours and their dogs and I'm proud to say that I fit in perfectly. I'm comfortable to meet new people and other dogs on our walks together. I also love playing with my toys and spend lots of time playing with my favourite toy, a bird stuffie. I love tossing it in the air and pouncing on it! My foster mom thinks it's the funniest thing ever!

Here’s what my foster mom says about me:

“ She is a very social dog, went on a long walk this morning and she greated 6 dogs this morning. She is a very cuddly dog and loves attention and affection, very persistent about that! So, long story short, a dog would be good but not entirely necessary, she just needs a lot of attention.
She is afraid of children. At the sight of kids she will lean against my leg or Sadie (foster fur sister) and whimper, bark and/or growl! I'm thinking it might be their height, so teenagers could be fine. I need to stress how social she is, loves attention from just about everyone. She has become quite popular in my neighborhood! I have a neighbor who comes out with treats when we are walk by, Rocket knows the house, when she isn't outside, Rocket will plant her butt and whine, this is the treat house! I have so many good things to say out this dog, she walks better on a leash better than Sadie, listens to everything I say, I have not had to correct her twice for the same thing. She will love anyone that is simply kind to her. If someone is looking for a cuddle bug, Rocket is their girl!“

So what do you think? Am I the perfect dog to be part of your home? Better apply fast before I get snapped up!
