Scooby is a sweet dog and he is very smart; he has had a great life with his humans since he was a puppy but sadly they were no longer able to care for him.

This handsome boy loves walks and will need at least 1 good walk a day; other than out walking he prefers to be inside close to his human.

While he doesn't fetch he does like to play and enjoys a good romp in the yard – but then back in the house where his human is. He is good natured and honestly just wants to be with you doing what you are doing. He isn't used to being with other dogs or kids and will need to be the only pet and no kids under 12.

One thing about Scooby is he is very smart and senses transition/change; when he notices you get-ting ready to leave the house he will go right to his crate. Scooby loves his crate – it’s his safe place and prefers to be in it when we are not home; his new family will need to allow him to con-tinue to be crated. Being a sensitive boy he whine if he gets anxious and if left in the backyard for long periods of time he will bark. If left in a house alone (not in his crate) he will stress out and may chew up a pillow.

Things he doesn't like are loud noises such as smoke detectors, smoke from ovens, riding in the car at night with flashing lights. During the day he is OK in the car although he hasn't spent a lot of time in the car. He isn't particularly fond of getting his nails clipped. He doesn't have a problem with baths and will just stand there. Scooby will bark at the door when someone knocks and initial-ly when they come in.

Scooby knows a couple of commands such as sit, come, shake; he is house trained and crate trained.

If you are looking for a loyal; by your side dog then Scooby is the one for you!
