Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oh, Layla! She is just the cutest with those short little legs! Layla was recently rescued along with her friends Simon and Ricky so she is still getting used to her new surroundings! She can be a little shy with new humans at first, but she loves to play with other puppies and also amuse herself with leaves on the ground (see pic!). An independent young lady!
We have no doubt that once she is in a home with humans she will get to know and an established routine, she will fully emerge from her shell <3
As of late March, she is 3.5 months old and 9.6 lbs. We think she is a Dachshund/Beagle mix.
Will you be her forever home? If you think you and Layla will be a great fit, please apply!

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to New York.
In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog.
We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.
We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID.
Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog.
In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.
