Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hank
Pit Bull/Boxer Mix
Male
5 years old
63 lbs.
Hey there friends, my name is Tank, and I’m a gentle, independent, sweet guy who will be your very best friend for life if you decide to be my forever family!
I’m at my happiest when I’m curled up near my person, whether it’s on the couch or on a big pile of pillows and blankets. That said, I do like talking short walks and I do get the zoomies and sprint around the back yard. I’ve also got a great tail wag that moves my whole butt back and forth when I get excited.
I’m a really friendly pup and I enjoy meeting new people and saying hi to everyone when I’m out on walks! I am friendly to other dogs overall when seeing them out of the house and I enjoy hanging out with the other dog in my foster home! With male dogs that are bigger than me, I tend to get a bit protective of my toys/food but I do great with female dogs and smaller dogs overall! But I also would do just fine as a solo dog as well. I haven’t met any cats so I can’t confirm how I’d do with cat friends and I haven’t met kids so I’d do best in a home with kiddos over age 10yrs old until I have a bit more experience with them. I also am really strong on leash and sometimes get a bit overstimulated on leash so I’d likely to best in a home with a yard or with an adopter who is on board with helping me with some of my leash behaviors!
I’m in really good health and am happy as can be! I do need to be on an anti-inflammatory medication due to some back leg arthritis and minor ligament tears. The inflammatory medication makes me feel SO much better so I’d love for my adopter to be committed to continuing the meds for me (about $40/month in cost.)
