My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mika is the perfect companion for just about any family. She's a very laid back and chill girl. She came to us from a local shelter after her owners could no longer take care of her. When she came to us, she needed surgery to take care of a benign mass on top of her head (picture after surgery below), a couple cysts from her paws and a cherry eye corrected and now she's ready to find her forever family!

She's a gentle soul that wants nothing more than to lay her head in your lap and be petted. Her tail wags vigorously with happiness when you call her name while she looks for every opportunity to snuggle and cover you with kisses from head to toe. Her personality has blossomed and emerges more and more every day from the docile, shy little thing she came to us as into a spunky, funny boxer that has many more Zoomies to run in her lifetime. Don't let her age make you hesitate to adopt her.

Mika gets along great with dogs, unknown with cats since her foster home doesn't have one. She enjoys sitting in the chair snuggled up in your lap, having chicken or peanut butter at snack time and a warm spot in front of the fireplace when it's going. Mika would be fine as an only dog or with a companion dog. She loves playing with her foster sister but she doesn't have the stamina of a 2-year-old like her foster sister so she plays for a while and she’s ready for a nap. If you're a mellow family or a retired couple, she's absolutely perfect for you too.
