My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Deuce! This adorable boy is ready to find his forever home, and he wants his new family to know these 10 things about him:

I am a Cane Corso and I am about 5 years old.

I was surrendered to the shelter along with my sister Imelda because my parents were getting a divorce. We miss having a family, but we are very happy hanging out at the Bullpen for now!

I can be nervous when I encounter new situations and people, especially men. A home that is willing to work with me on building confidence, and that will give me plenty of time to warm up to new people and situations, would be the best fit for me.

Although I do like to play, I honestly prefer a calm and laid-back environment. An active adult-only home would be ideal, but I think I could live in a home with children over 13, as long as they weren’t too loud or rambunctious and had some previous experience/training with big dogs.

I would like to find a family with a large female dog that I could play and hang out with.

I’m not really sure how I feel about cats, so a feline-free home may be best for me.

The words that best describe me are sweet, goofy, and affectionate. My favorite things are playing with my sister, sunbathing in the yard, and hanging out with my people.

I don’t like it when you leave me alone outside, because I’m not sure that you’re coming back. My new family will need to have a tall, secure fence around their yard, because I am likely to escape and try to find you. I think it would be best if you could walk me on a leash or make sure I’m supervised when outdoors for the first few months.

I am housebroken, crate-trained, and I know how to use a dog door. I am also perfecting my leash skills more and more each day!

I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped.
