My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imelda is imagining her new life with her forever home, and she wants her future family to know these 10 things about her:

I am a Neapolitan Mastiff and I am 6 years old.

I was surrendered to the shelter along with my brother Deuce because my parents were getting a divorce. We miss having a family, but we are very happy hanging out at the Bullpen for now!

I am a confident and friendly girl that warms up to new people quickly. Although I do like to play, I honestly prefer a calm and laid-back environment. I think I could live in a home with children over 10, as long as they weren’t too loud or rambunctious and had some previous experience/training with big dogs.

I would like to find a family with a large, laid-back male dog that I could hang out with. I can be a little bossy with my brother, so an easy-going canine companion would be best for me.

I’m not really sure how I feel about cats, so a feline-free home may be a good option for me.

The words that best describe me are silly, social, and affectionate.

My favorite things are playing with my brother, sunbathing in the yard, and getting attention and affection from people.

My eyes were really messed up before I came to rescue, and when the veterinarian corrected my cherry eye, they discovered that I had hair growing out of one of my eyeballs (technically, its a dermoid cyst)! Even though it’s kinda weird, the vets didn’t think that it needed to be addressed immediately and instead suggested some inexpensive, non-prescription eye drops. The drops work like a charm, but I will need to have them every day for the rest of my life.

I am housebroken, crate-trained, and I know how to use a dog door. I am also perfecting my leash skills more and more each day!

I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.
