My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mia! 🐾🌸🐾
This beautiful sweet girl is Mia. She lived with a family of 6, (4 kids under age 10). She also had a fur brother who the family took with them when they moved and left Mia in the home alone in a crate. 😢 They claimed she was “old and sick, and didn’t want to grow with their family.” Mia was surrendered to our rescue emancipated and covered in sores, likely from being abandoned in a crate for who knows how long. 😢😢😢
But her sad story WILL have a happy ending! She is now thriving in her foster home, knowing the comfort of soft beds, good food, and the love and attention she deserves! She’s now looking for her FOREVER home!
🐾 Age. 8
🐾 Weight 42 (healthy weight around 50)
🐾 We are unsure of her breed but seems to look like a pittie/bulldog mix!
🐾 Dog friendly with both big and small dog with slow/proper intros.
🐾 No cats!
🐾 Kid friendly! She lived with for children under the age of 10 years in her previous home.
🐾 House trained.
🐾 Crate trained.
🐾 Walks well on leash.
🐾 Microchipped.
🐾 Spayed and UTD on vaccinations
Mia loves to be with her people, snuggle and get belly rubs! Due to her being food deprived, she is extremely food motivated and will take food off counters and tables. Therefore, no food should be left unattended. We are hoping once she realizes she will be fed on a regular basis, this will pass.
Mia would do well in most family situations.
Mia is being fostered in Norwalk, CT.
Important Notice 📝
We are primarily a Pit Bull 🐶🥰rescue and we require the following because its whats in the best interest of our dogs:
✴️Experience with bully breed or large breed dogs; we love that you want to adopt, but we believe we are not the right rescue for first time dog owners.
✴️Home ownership ~or~
✴️Renting in CT from the same location for a minimum of three years and letter from your landlord stating you are able to own a dog without restrictions on breed, size, or weight. Please note that out-of-state renters are not eligible for consideration.
✴️No babies or toddlers! Sorry! We love our kiddos just as we love our pups and we want to keep both safe at all times. We understand that Pitbulls are often the best breed with children—the “Nanny Dog” as they are known, but with so many variables involved when it comes to young kids and dogs, we always err on the side of extreme caution. This now applies to all of our dogs, (regardless of breed), even when listed as “good with kids.”😊
❇️As a result of our limited volunteer capabilities, once your application is received and reviewed, regretfully, we’re only able to respond to those applicants that have been determined to be the absolute best fit or best match for the dog. We apologize that we do not have the ability to reach out to every applicant.
❤️❤️❤️
All of our dogs are rescued from within the state of CT and fostered by amazing families located in the state of CT. #adoptlocaldogs
