Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SteveCharlie - Basenji/Lab Mix - Male - 7 years - www.twyla.org
If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org
SteveCharlie is a 7 year old neutered male Basenji/something (maybe Lab?) Mix. He came back to us after his owner suddenly passed away. His name was Steve when he was adopted and his owner renamed him Charlie, so he's now SteveCharlie. SteveCharlie is very affectionate, fully house and crate trained and walks well on leash. He loves to go for car rides - he previous owner took him just about everywhere - and he loves chewing on a Kong toy.
SteveCharlie has a quirky sense of humor and is always very attentive and eager to please his people. He would like a family who will be around the house more than gone, and let him snuggle with you while you watch TV or read a good book. SteveCharlie does wonderfully with adults or kids and would be a perfect companion for a just about any family, he has low to medium exercise needs, and is calm most all situations. He is great with other dogs, but will chase cats.
SteveCharlie is a super soft, sweet boy and will make a great addition to any family. He is looking for a home with or without kids, with or without dogs, but he likes to be around his people, so he's looking for someone who is home a lot.
SteveCharlie has a seizure disorder that is well controlled with medication and he does very well with it and he is on a special Kidney diet for Kidney issues - his meds and his special food needs to be continued but he does very well on it.
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
