My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


Sam was adopted at age 6 months. Currently he is right around 4.5 years old. He is trained to walk at heel and to come. He has a command to go off leash and roam as we did extensive off leash training and did many hiking and fishing trips. He would sit on our porch without a leash and watch as other dogs would do by. Will definitely not run away. He only eats his food on command and I would cover his food or take it away with absolutely no reaction. I cannot speak highly enough about his training. He also does a great job matching energy. Lastly, he has never peed in the house and can go 12+ hours.

He had a bite incident with a person that was the first we had ever seen that type of behavior in 4 years (how long we have owned him). No broken skin but it did leave a small bruise. While it is painful for us to let him go, I have a brother with down syndrome that has always been afraid of dogs, so we need to unfortunately move on given that my brother comes around the house often.
