My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who would like to adopt this gorgeous, truly good girl?
Breelyn is about 1-1/2 years old. She is a shepherd mix (possibly with catahoula, given her markings??) who ended up in the shelter while she was pregnant. She had her babies and they were all adopted, but Breelyn was not ? The shelter asked if we could help with her and we said absolutely yes!
She is a somewhat shy girl until she gets to know you but doesn't have any aggression at all. She seems more comfortable with women than men, and is a bit hand-shy, especially with a hand above her head ... which makes us wonder about her past and if she was hit or abused. We will never know, but she needs gentle souls who will go slow with her ... and she will reward you with lots of love ?
Breelyn could possibly live with another dog with proper introductions, or would be happy to be your one and only.
She would do best in a home without cats.
Since she is initially shy, a home with children who are slightly older (13 years old or older) or an adult home would be best. She will thrive in a quiet home environment where she can settle in and relax, and bond with her new family.
Breelyn loves her walks ? She enjoys being out and about. A securely fenced yard would be a huge plus for her, although not an absolute requirement.
She will do best in a rural or a suburban setting - she would not be comfortable as a "city dog".

Breelyn is just the sweetest dog and we cannot wait until she finds the truly terrific forever home she so totally deserves!
