My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Levi came into the rescue about a month ago as an owner surrender. His family had reached out to us for help. In the home, where there was a lot going on that was causing stress, Levi was having anxiety issues. His family made the determination that they needed to seek a new home for him.
We went and met this handsome boy. He immediately made friends with all of the people, and was happy and playful. We agreed to bring him into the rescue.
Since then, Levi has been living with a foster-based trainer who we know and trust. He's a sweet, lovable dog and we are so thankful we were able to help.
He makes human friends easily ? In fact, he prefers to be with his humans - so a family where someone is home for a good part of each day would be ideal for him. A retired person or persons, or someone who works from home, would be a great match for Levi.
He is still a young dog at about 4 years old, and would love to go on long walks with you. A fenced yard where he can run and play would be a big plus for him, but not an absolute requirement.
We are looking for a family for Levi with experience with bully breed dogs, and with rescue dogs in general.
He would like a family with a quiet lifestyle. Because of that, he'll do best in an adult home or one with older children.
Levi will do best as the only pet in the home.
He needs to settle into a home as soon as possible - we don't want this boy to have to make any more transitions than necessary. So if you can help Levi out, please let us know.
He will make a wonderful family member ?

Levi needs either a foster or forever family. If you want to adopt, we would want to do a short foster-to-adopt placement to ensure that the match is the right one for everybody. ***Fosters and foster-to-adopt families must be located within the state of CT***
