Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gracie is looking for her forever home! This gorgeous girl is estimated to be between 1-2 years old. She was a pregnant stray that was dumped. Her puppies have all been weaned so now its her time to shine and find herself the forever home she deserves!
Our best guess on her breed mix is German Shepherd and Husky crossed. She's built a lot like a slimmer husky overall but with a shorter, German shepherd type coat and coloring. Her ears are fuzzier like a husky, and her eyes have heterochromia iridis (a fancy way to say they are two-tone, a section of pure icy blue in an otherwise mostly light brown iris). :)
She is very calm, normally really quiet, sweet, and does well with some dogs. She is picky about her doggy companions though, and so likely would do best being in an only dog home where she gets all the love and attention. She hasn't shown any aggression towards cats or small animals, she has done fine with the small dog she is being fostered with so far; but she also hasn't lived in a home with cats or other small animals either, so to be conservative, we aren't recommending her to a home with cats or small animals.
She does AMAZING with kids and people! Not normally jumpy, and she really loves kids and people and cuddling up with humans. She will require a securely fenced yard, 6 ft or greater though she has not shown herself to be much of an escape artist or digger to date. She does fine on a leash, and does great in a crate! She has it appears, mostly been an outdoor dog before coming in to the rescue, so her potty training is hit or miss. She never has an accident in her crate, and she hasn't at all while we've had her out in public in the stores for adoption events, but she's had a few accidents here and there at her fosters inside the house. So we think she was never formally house broken. Therefore, in a new home, a new family may need to plan on doing some remedial house breaking training just to make sure she's got it down. She is only moderate energy and so far has shown herself to be quite trainable as she is treat motivated. :)
Gracie is fixed, microchipped, dewormed, and current on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $200.
