My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jooney is an approximately 1 1/2-2 year old pit bull mix who came to us as a stray and was never claimed. She is an active and super sweet girl, who loves to play with any kind of ball, but especially volleyballs and soccer balls :) She loves every person she meets and absolutely adores kids - she will pull on walks to try and visit with them! She would do best with sturdier kids as she is still young and doesn't always realize her own strength. She also loves to sit on her foster mom's lap and cuddle when the day is over and she has spent her energy. Jooney is crate and housebroken and walks well on a leash!

Jooney is leash reactive with other dogs, which means her forever home with need to continue to work with her on this. Because of this, we are looking for an experienced owner who can handle this part of her personality. She does live with another dog in her foster home, but she does not do well meeting new dogs at this time and she can not be with cats, so we are looking for a pet-free home for her. Because of her leash reactivity, we are also requiring her forever home to have a physical fence. She has come a long way since her foster mom got her and she knows basic commands and is a quick learner, especially when treats are involved. We are also hoping to start getting her in a training program soon to help her gain more tools to make her the best Jooney she can be!

Jooney's adoption fee has been waived for an approved adopter and she will come fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. If you'd like to meet Jooney and see if she would be a good fit to your family, please submit an adoption application through our website - www.helpingpawsonline.com .
