Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Hart! Five dogs came to MVPC on Valentine’s Day, so we are all named with love names! I ended up at the shelter because my family could not afford to amputate my leg. The shelter took care of it for me, and I am good as new! I don’t mind life with three legs, it slows me down some, but I still love to chase a ball or frisbee. I am a VERY easy going guy. I love affection and putting my head in your lap for pets. I have grown quite fond of fuzzy beds and am perfectly fine with the other dogs in the house. I am interested in cats, but I just want to play and am not fast enough to even do that. Walks are nice, but playing ball in the backyard then lounging in the sun is the best. A few steps aren’t going to be a problem for me, but if there are more than that, I may need some help. I try though! I am just a good, sweet boy who wants to play ball a few times a day, then snuggle up with you.
ADOPTION FEE: $200 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained).
A $100 hold fee is required for approved applications and will be applied to the full adoption fee at the time of the home visit.
ADOPTER: Dog experience
BIRTHDAY: Estimated 9 years
FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment)
DOGS: Yes
CATS: Yes
KIDS: Yes, over 5
INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. We prefer male/female dog pairings unless both already reside in the home.
DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response.
PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
