NAME: STEFFI GENDER: Female
WEIGHT: 26 lbs. DOB: 11-01-20
LOCATION: Terryville, CT DONATION: $450.00

ADOPTED ON 03-15-21; There are so many sweet pups out there that are waiting for a loving forever home, and it is hard to imagine that people will choose to BUY an expensive dog when they can easily fall in love with a wonderful rescue dog! There are so many in need, and the leading cause is the lack of spaying and neutering being done. Something so simple would help end the countless homeless litters that are turned in at shelters. Worse yet, dumped on the side of the road. Often, these puppies endure horrible conditions trying to survive and grow up to be a homeless adult that is not fixed, perpetuating the cycle.

Luckily, there are wonderful humans out there, too. They work tirelessly to rescue these pups and find them their forever homes. It is truly a labor of love, but when you look at the sweet faces of puppies like Steffi, how could anyone resist?? Steffi is a 4 month old Black Lab mix who, with her sister Steffi, was rescued in the nick of time before the cold snap hit the southern states. She is a 26 Lb. Black Lab mix, and her coat is the most luxurious, silky fur you’ll ever touch. Steffi is very sweet, and quite inquisitive and outgoing, unlike her sister who is the reserved one that prefers to observe everything first! She seems very well adjusted, as most puppies are, and would be a great addition to any active family with or without children.

When choosing a potential dog that is right for your family, doing a little research on breed types ahead of time is quite helpful. As everyone knows, the Labrador is considered “the family dog” and is one of America’s most popular breeds. Labs are famously friendly. They are companionable housemates who bond with the whole family, and they socialize well with neighborhood dogs and humans alike. But don’t mistake this easy going personality for low energy: The Lab is an enthusiastic athlete that requires lots of exercise, like swimming and marathon games of fetch, to keep physically and mentally fit. This high-spirited, outgoing breed has plenty of affection for the whole family.

Steffi is looking for her forever home, and humans that will love her like a member of the family. She is a sweetheart, and deserves the very best. Consider welcoming Steffi into your heart and home!

THANK YOU
Our rescue is only in the business of offering full disclosure to adopters, and expects and hopes to engage your questions and concerns fully. We owe it to the dogs we rescue and all the wonderful families/adopters who might consider welcoming our charges into their hearts and home. Our dogs are waiting for that ideal forever home where they will be cherished as deserving family members. It's sad these second chances are even necessary for these dogs, but we are committed to them and will devote the time and energy to their re-homing, and not just move them to save more dogs.

We diligently and responsibly seek good matches, as we don't want to re-home the dog again. These animals have already endured more than they should have, and through no fault of their own. It behooves us to be honest and forthright, and we appreciate the same in return from applicants. It's that winning combination of reciprocal trust and respect that allows for successful placements to be made. Happy adopters translate to happy dogs, and that's our goal!
