My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chewy - needs foster or forever home (fosters must be located in CT)

Male
Great Pyrenees/lab mix
About 5 years old
House trained
Crate trained
Working on leash training and basics
Would be happiest as an only pet
Needs an adult home
Chewy came into our rescue from a local animal control facility. He arrived there because his owner - who was a dog trainer - died suddenly and unexpectedly. He is currently with a foster-based trainer, working on re-learning some basics and gaining confidence when meeting new people.
Chewy's ideal family will have a securely fenced yard and experience with rescue dogs in general and LGD's in particular..
Chewy has settled in well. He has shown himself to be a dog who just loves belly rubs and attention.
He does take some time feeling comfortable meeting new people. It doesn't take very long, and then he is happy to make new human friends 🙂
