My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shilah is currently in a foster home. She is a very shy, at first, cat, but loves to get pets and rubs once she warms up to you. She goes wild for treats and will stay right by you for scratches as long as you are willing. She is a nervous nelly so she tends to hiss when she is scared or nervous, but has never been aggressive. Once she realizes it's okay, she starts purring. She also likes to hang out by you and would make a great companion cat for somebody that doesn't have dogs or young children. She is not a fan of sudden movements or being held yet, but her foster family continues to work with her to help her feel more comfortable and social. She has been tolerant of younger kittens as long as they don't get too close to her. She may do well with an older cat and she is going to be our first recipient of the Bev Mackie Memorial Fund for Animal Sponsorship. Shilah has been at PCHS in a foster home since December 2020.
