Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Yahtzee! This handsome boy is looking for a forever home that has just as much energy and zest for life as he does! He came to us from the NYC ACC after being found as a stray, emaciated at just 20 lbs. Now he weighs 38 lbs, having almost DOUBLED in size!
Yahtzee is all husky all the time! If you don't love having fur covering every inch of your house in the spring, then he is not the dog for you! He loves to play, to run, and considers it his mission in life to not take a single day for granted! He will be your workout partner and the motivation you need to get up off the couch, head outside and enjoy life.
After surviving as a stray on the city streets, Yahtzee is understandably cautious when meeting new people. However, with a few treats, a walk, a game of fetch, and some patience, and you will have a loyal best friend for life!
Yahtzee loves long walks, cuddles on the couch, and stuffed squeaky toys. He gets along well with other dogs his size for play dates, but would do best in a home as an only pet because he does not like to share his food, toys, or water with other dogs.
He is doing well with his crate training, but will need someone willing to get him on a solid schedule and finish off his housebreaking. We would prefer for him to have a fenced in yard, as husky mixes tend to escape risks, but for a family that is otherwise a great fit for him we may be able to make an exception!
