My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT AUSTIN DOG RESCUE REGARDING THIS DOG. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON LISTED BELOW IN THE AD FOR MORE INFORMATION***

THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.

This is the information that we received from Rainier's current foster:

Rainier is a wonderful, sweet and friendly dog who's looking for the perfect forever home. He has been in training for all basic behaviors, is potty-trained, crate-trained, gets along with dogs and gets a little too excited with cats. He loves all people, and would be better in a home with older children rather than youngsters. He jumps and nips when overstimulated and excited in the morning. He is a lovely dog for an active family or a single person that can keep up with maintaining the training and getting him out to socialize on a regular basis.

He is about a year, still very puppyish and young. He weighs 51 pounds, and will fill it out over time a bit more. If I had to guess his breed mix, I want to say Lab/Border Collie mix.

Rainer has been medically vetted, fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped. He knows "sit," "down" and "stay." Rainier retrieves VERY well, crating is coming along nicely and he's potty trained for the most part.

We are trying him out with other dogs of ours to see how he plays, but he is SUPER friendly when he sees dogs, and licks them through the fence of the yard or kennel run. He's just a cuddle bug.
