Blue Ridge is a six month old Jack Russell Terrier mix. He is full of energy, and he loves to run and play with other dogs. He got a clean bill of health from our veterinarian, all his shots are up to date, and his chip is registered.
We took Blue in about two months ago, mainly because someone else couldn't keep him. We thought we could integrate him into our home with our other dog. This didn't work so well mainly due to the fact that our other dog hasn't accepted Blue. We have also decided that due to time constraints we are not ready to bring in another puppy, especially when we have to keep him separated from our other dog 24/7.
He seems to be house-trained, although I wouldn't say it with 100 percent confidence. We still keep him in the crate at night. During the day he is in his section of the house. We take him out on a regular basis, so we haven't had any accidents in a couple of weeks.
He responds well to simple commands (sit/stay) and he is pretty good on the leash.
