My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Adoption Pending*** Moxie(formerly Pandora) is an approximately five year old female chihuahua/pomeranian mix and weighs about 10 pounds. She is extremely sweet and likes to be with you whenever possible. Moxie sleeps quietly in her kennel at night and is potty trained as long as she is let out regularly. Moxie likes other dogs and people but takes a minute to warm up as she is shy. She does tend to bond faster and stronger with women than men.
She walks very nicely on a leash and is fairly quiet unless someone comes to the door. Consistency and general soft training and exposure are things that will really help this girl come out of her shell. Professional training is recommended, and some is included in her adoption fee. No small children due to her size and fearfulness. Moxie is currently located in the Kansas City area and it would be great if the adopter could be located in the area so multiples meetings could be set up with Moxie prior to going home with her new family. Moxie first came to us pregnant and was returned due to not bonding with her male adopter(no harsh words, this was a hard decision and was best for Moxie). She will take patience in her new home. Moxie 's adoption fee is $250.  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered in Kansas City, KS and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver. We do allow out of state adoptions, however qualified in state applications will be given preference.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process.
