My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Um can we say "ears"??? Luna, affectionately known as Luna Bug or Luna Bat, is an active person's dream with energy to spare. Know what else she has to spare? Sooooooooo much love! She gets so excited to see people that she can't even contain herself (but she's working on learning not to jump). When her kennel door is opened, she shoots out of like a rocket to tackle-hug whoever is standing closest to her. While Luna really wants to play with other dogs, she has issues controlling her energy as well as guarding her toys that can result in aggression, so we are looking for a home without other dogs as well as no cats. Her family will need to make sure she is getting lots and lots of exercise because, even though she is 4 years old, she has the energy of a puppy who had espresso for breakfast! We love Luna to bits anyway though and know she'll make someone an amazing new friend. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Interested adopters can set up an appointment to meet her at the shelter Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays, and/or they can fill out on adoption application here: https://secondchanceas.org/adoptables
We do not ask for set adoption fees but instead ask for an adoption donation based on the costs of providing the dog with basic medical care (spay/neuter, vaccines, etc.), normally $175-$200 for a female dog. All adoption donations go 100% toward the care of our wonderful animals!
