Update 4/18/21: Adoption Pending
Gabe is a fun chestnut QH gelding born in 1997. He stands at 15.1 hands, has a white blaze and stockings He has extensive western pleasure experience, neck reins, has a rocking horse, slow western lope and is very willing to please. Great for a beginner rider. He has a small cyst on his right front bursa area but is doing well without special shoes. Daily Previcox keeps him comfortable and he is able to be ridden moderately by a light rider at mostly a walk and some trotting - no jumping though. Would be wonderful for someone who wants to do light trail riding only. He stands well for vet, farrier and dentist, trailer loads with ease and is UTD on everything. He loves people, especially children and will ham it up when being scratched. A very expressive, goofy kind of guy. He has been pastured with both mares and geldings and does fine. However, he should be fed grain separately, as he does have a bit of feed time anxiety,(will hold his front leg up and paw sometimes) but is ok in pasture or with hay. Temperament 2 out of 10. Please note that potential adopters must live within 60 miles of our facility in Dunkirk, MD so that we may do personal site checks and potential adopters may visit the horse multiple times to make sure it is a good match.
