Meet Hopper (aka Poppy)! This beautiful girl is a 2 year old purebred Aussie on the smaller side who has a glossy, silky, black tri coat and the sweetest personality.

Poppy is housebroken, crate-trained and knows her basic obedience commands. She is a medium energy, high velcro dog who loves other dogs (and cats!) and would do well with another playful, confident dog in the house to show her the ropes. She has a soft mouth and takes treats gently. She is submissive and gentle in her play style and loves to wrestle and run. Poppy settles nicely for naps and is even happier if that's next to you on the couch. She loves to be near you, loves to snuggle, loves to be petted and is more than happy to roll over for a belly rub.

She is working on her confidence as she gets a little uneasy going somewhere new but with patience, experience and time, she will blossom. She is sweet and quiet and easy to love.

Poppy is Aussie shy when meeting new people but warms quickly. She readily attaches to her family and loves to be wherever they are. She goes easily into a crate (but we don't think she really needs one) and is quiet all night long. She walks nicely on a leash, does not react to other dogs and rides great in a car.

The ideal home for Poppy is a calm but active family who is home more often than not. A fenced yard and another playful dog are important and older, dog-savvy children are welcome. If your home is the right fit for Poppy, apply today. This sweet girl will steal your heart.
