Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Toki is the most affectionate and laid back cat we have. He loves to lay in our laps whenever we sit down and will stay there until we have to get up. We have 2 cats in the cat house that won't let other cats to get near them but they are fine with Toki. He seems to have a calming effect on them.
Toki loves women but is unsure of men. As loving as Toki is, I'm sure he would relax in time but would need a patient family to work with him. Toki has weepy eyes so we give him lysine twice a day mixed with his wet food and wipe his eyes every few days with our fingers or with a wet cotton ball.
He was on oral antibiotics and eye ointment but it didn't help. We have been giving him lysine twice a day and wiping his eyes gently with cotton balls soaked in colloidal silver and his eyes are looking good but he will probably need his eyes cleaned for the foreseeable future.
Toki is FIV+. Don't let his FIV status scare you! FIV is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, which slowly weakens a cat's immune system over the years, making them more prone to infections. A cat who tests positive will have a powerful immune system for many years and with a lot of love, a well-balanced diet, good vet care at least once a year, and kept inside, they can live long, healthy lives! It can be passed on to other cats, but not to humans or canines, by blood contact due to deep bite wounds or cuts and can't be passed on through casual contact, mutual grooming, sneezing or sharing food bowls & litter boxes. Positive cats can live with other cats as long as they're not cats who'd try to fight them and would welcome the cat into their home.
