My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Hachiko. She is a stray from Istanbul, Turkey. She is roughly 2 to 3 years old. Her listed breeds are just a best guess. She's roughly 50 pounds. She is a very sweet girl. She gets along with everyone, including other dogs. She is easygoing. She's not been tested with kids but she would likely do fine with them.

Before you apply to adopt her, please note that there is a surge right now in adoption costs. We are asking a $1200 adoption fee. Here is the breakdown:

Each dog's flight fee is $600, and we also have to pay for the human volunteer's flight (roughly $1800 per trip). We also have to pay for the volunteer's $2000 mandatory quarantine in Toronto.
During non-covid times, we are able to find volunteers that are already flying to Canada from Turkey, and they bring the dogs home with them on their flight. But because there is a lack of flyers right now, we have to actually fly people to Turkey and back.
