My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nutmeg was rescued from an industrial area on Long Island. After she was spayed, we noticed that she was interested in us humans, and purring. We gave her the opportunity to bloom in a foster home so she would not have to return to the industrial area and live there the rest of her life always in search of her next meal and a warm place to sleep. She is a petite cat, purrs a lot, and will dance around you looking for pets and affection. Due to limited interaction with humans for the first year of her life, she is shy when meeting new people, but warms up very quickly. She does not love to be picked up, but we are able to pick her up and working with her daily so that she becomes more used to it. She really is a gorgeous girl and deserves a very loving home of her own. She is with other cats in her foster home and gets along well with them all.
