Meet Hermes 6289
2-year-old Hermes will amaze you with his plethora of creative abilities and innate talents. Hermes displayed his non-stop energy as he leapt skyward, chased down, cornered, and retrieved every genre of squeaky toy in the Humane Society arsenal. His intensely bright, blue eyes are always focused on you, asking for just one more toss, one more game and one more challenge. The human obliged by dropping a hotdog treat into the hollow pink ball. Hermes first tried the obvious but couldn’t get his head far enough in to reach the treat. Then, after a moment’s thought, he tilted his head and approached the toy, extended his paw, and gave it a bump sufficient to roll it over so the treat simply fell out. He received his name for adroitly mimicking one of most clever and mischievous of all the ancient Greek hero’s. Hermes also has a passionate devotion to his human family and would be happiest in a home that doesn’t entertain a lot of guests. Hermes is fully house-trained and enjoys sleeping with his humans. When asked what he would like to tell the humans who might be interested in his adoption, Hermes replied, “Check out my tail….it is a perfect example of a spiral that conforms to the Fibonacci numeric sequence found everywhere in nature.” Quite a creative canine.
