Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Caesar the Cane Corso was given up because his owner didn't keep control of him adequately. He was tied to a doghouse in the backyard for his entire life. But the rope was thin, and Caesar would chew through it to get to the neighborhood females in season. After the owner was cited five times, he gave Caesar away to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare in Easton. Caesar was with horses, goats, and chickens in his home. He nicely licked a kitten that walked by him. But he was very interested in the cat in his foster home, and lost the home because of that. He should probably not be placed with cats. I don't have much info about children. There were some in the shelter who came by and the staff said that he didn't react to them. Caesar was not reported to have accidents in his foster home, and does not mess in his kennel at the shelter. Caesar seems to be quite a mellow dog. When I came into the shelter and all the dogs were barking and jumping, Caesar was calmly sitting in his kennel. We got him into a fenced area. When a dog walked by the outside of the fence, he seemed to want to play. He likes human attention and is not afraid of anyone. When the kennel helper went to do something, he clearly missed her. He accepted pets and touches from me. I touched him all over his body and he was fine with that. Caesar is about 20" at the shoulders and 50 pounds. He looks to be in good health. Caesar is a nice dog and would make a fine pet for someone.
