Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Elmer is a 10-year-old boy who was found stray in Pearland. When no owner came to claim him, HBHR picked him up. He is a chunky 24 pounds on a small 13-inch frame!
Elmer has been treated for heart worms and is well on his way to feeling good. He still has an occasional cough but has a good trot for an ‘old’ guy! He holds one of his rear legs a little stiff. We are not sure if it is from an old injury or some arthritis. He does not let that slow him down, especially when he hears the word “Treat”!
Elmer’s house manners have been good. He has had no accidents in his foster home that has a dog door. He did have some problems in a house without a dog door, so will need time to adjust to new routines. He gets along well with his pack mates. Will sit and wait his turn at a treat!
Elmer loves being around his person. He will follow you from room to room and will need to sleep on his bed near the head of your bed. This sweet boy just needs a family willing to provide him love and attention. If you have the time to let this boy, get to know you, he will make a wonderful companion.
